High Court Trial Delayed due to CMCO: No New Date Yet

Due to yet another difficult COVID-19 wave because of the Sabah State election, the High Court of Kota Kinabalu has been closed and many trial dates, including this one, have been vacated.

The COVID-19 pandemic has ravaged Sabah's already quite limited health capacity that is under enormous strain.

The Senarai Bantuan COVID-19 Sabah ⤤ has been created for those who want to help: it curates a list of grassroots, on-the-ground organizations that offer direct aid to affected Sabahans. We are perpetually reminded each day that Sabah has one of the highest poverty rates in all of Malaysia and one of the highest child populations ⤤.

Because of health emergency crisis, the High Court of Kota Kinabalu is closed (BM only) ⤤. The High Court stated ⤤,

2-6.11.2020 (T): Trial dates on 2-6 Nov 2020 are vacated. Trial date to be fixed after CMCO lifted.

As of December 11th, no new trial date has been announced. Civil trials are given somewhat lower priority than criminal trials; the Tiada.Guru Campaign is prepared to continue the fight: justice, as we are often harshly reminded, is never given but demanded. Hope is not found, but made.
